Potential members (Regular and Associate) can join by completing an online application or downloading a copy of the application at one of the links below. Membership dues are calculated on the calendar year, beginning January 1 and ending December 31. Payment of a full year dues is required to initiate a membership. Regular Members are packers, processors and purveyors. They range from small plants with only five employees to the largest firms in the U.S. Although SMA has retained its long-recognized regional name, its members are located all across the United States. Cost of membership is based on annual gross sales.
Associate Members are suppliers and service providers. They cover the spectrum of industry with every imaginable connection to the production of meat and/or meat products. Cost of membership is $850 annually.
Affiliate Members are livestock producers, financial institutions or retail establishments. Cost of membership is $250. Firms interested in affiliate membership can receive more information by contacting us at email@example.com.
Student Members are those who are majoring in Animal/Food Science, or related fields, and wish to learn more, as well as network with industry professionals. Cost of membership is $35. International Members are welcome.
